How to get more server slots on Schokr

The free package includes up to 4 server slots per team. Buy extra slots for 250 credits each to run more servers, bots and apps.

Every Schokr team can run up to 4 servers on the free package. To create more, buy extra server slots from the store for 250 credits each (about $0.33).

What a server slot is

A server slot lets your team have one more server. It does not come with memory, disk or CPU of its own. The new server takes its resources from your team's shared pool, the same as your other servers.

So if your pool is already fully used, you will also need to free up or buy resources for the new server.

Steps

  1. Make sure your Discord account is linked and your team has at least 250 credits.
  2. Sign in to the Schokr console and open the store.
  3. Buy a server slot. Buy several if you need them.
  4. Check there is enough memory, disk and CPU left in the pool for the new server. If not, either lower another server's allocation or buy more resources.
  5. Create your new server as usual.

Do I need another slot?

Often you can avoid it:

  • Delete servers you no longer use. That frees the slot and its resources.
  • Combine small bots. Several small scripts can sometimes run in one Node.js or Python server with a process manager, though separate servers are easier to manage.
  • Use the second team. Each user can be in up to 2 teams, and each team has its own free package. Keep in mind each team also has its own credits and pool.

Slots are permanent

Like other store upgrades, a server slot is a one-time purchase that stays with your team. If you delete a server, the slot is freed and you can use it again. See how store upgrades work.

Still stuck?

If you bought a slot but still cannot create a server, check the pool has room for the new server's resources. If it does, ask on the Schokr Discord.
