How to invite people to your Schokr team

Invite friends or co-admins to your Schokr team by email, assign them a role and remove members who no longer need access.

Updated · 2 min read

Team owners invite people by the email address of their Schokr account. The person needs an existing Schokr account first, and they can be in at most 2 teams.

Before you invite

  1. Ask the person to create an Schokr account if they do not have one.
  2. Get the exact email address they signed up with.
  3. Decide what they should be able to do and make a role for it. See team roles and permissions.

Send the invite

  1. Sign in at console.schokr.gg and switch to the team.
  2. Open the team's member settings.
  3. Invite a member using their account email.
  4. Assign the role you prepared.
  5. Once the invite goes through (they may need to accept it), the team appears in their console.

Example roles to start with

RoleTypical permissions
ModeratorView console, send commands
DeveloperConsole, power, files, startup
AdminMost permissions except billing and team ownership

Keep billing and store permissions with the owner unless you really trust the person to spend the team's credits.

The invite does not work

  • No account with that email: the person must sign up first, using that email.
  • Typo in the email: double-check spelling, including the domain.
  • They are already in 2 teams: each user can be in up to 2 teams. They need to leave one first. See being in two teams.

Changing someone's access

You can change a member's role at any time. The change applies to all of the team's servers. If someone only needs temporary extra access, change their role back once they are done.

Removing a member

Remove members who no longer help out. After removing someone:

  1. Check the activity log for any recent changes you did not expect.
  2. If they had file or startup access, consider rotating secrets they could have seen, such as Discord bot tokens, API keys or RCON passwords.

Never share your password

Inviting people is the safe way to share access. Sharing your own login gives them everything, including billing, and makes it impossible to tell who did what. See account security basics.
